Amazing Crab Cake Recipe

Many appetizers are delicious, easy to make, and can make your taste buds happy. And one of the ultimate appetizers is crab cakes.    Crab cakes may seem complicated to prepare at first glance; however, they are effortless to make. And you are in luck because we will share with you an incredible crab cake recipe that's made with real crab.

Which Crab Meat Should You Use

The first important thing you should know is which crab meat you should use. The best crab cake meals are made with fresh crab meat from a juicy crab. And we shouldn't even have to mention that you have to use real crab. There are many substitutes out there, but if you want to taste the perfection in a bite of crab cake, you need to use real crab.    When it comes to using fresh crab meat or canned one, we recommend using fresh crab meat because of the superior taste. However, we are conscious that not everyone has access to fresh crab meat, and in that case, you can use canned. Just make sure you are using real crab meat. And of course, we have to mention which type of meat from a juicy crab you can use. It's best to use jumbo lump; it's even easy to find it canned if you opt for that version. And if you don't want to use canned crab meat, but you can't find a jumbo lump, you can substitute it for lump meat or fin meat. It's still juicy crab meat, and it will go perfectly in this recipe.

The Essentials in a Crab Cake Recipe

Like we mentioned, the crab cake recipe is easy, and it doesn't include any strange or hard-to-find ingredients. You can find everything you need in any supermarket or your local store.  You'll need to have:
  • Mayonnaise
  • Dijon mustard
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Hot sauce
  • Panko bread crumbs

Mayonnaise

Mayo will work wonders as a binder in crab cakes, and it will give the whole dish a dose of creaminess. The magic of this recipe is that you won't even taste the mayonnaise, so even if you don't particularly like it, you can use it.

Dijon Mustard, Worcestershire, and Hot Sauce

These three condiments will take your crab cakes to another level. We have a crab cake recipe with just the right amount of everything, and we know that you'll love this combination.

Panko Bread Crumbs

The best crab cakes are the ones that are fried in a pan, which gives them the beautiful golden-brown color and that unique crunch. And there wouldn't be that special crunch without bread crumbs. And which bread crumbs are the best? Well, we must say Panko. They make everything crispy, just the right amount, and if you have a chance, you should use them. If you don't have these bread crumbs, the regular ones will work fine. And you can even make them yourself if you have stale bread.
